What is the River Artes District?
The River Artes District is home to a dynamic group of artists and artisans on San Antonio’s Southside. Located between Roosevelt Park and the historic Missions, the district blends working-class history, creative expression, and puro cultural pride.
About the Studio Tour
On Saturday, May 24, over a dozen studios and creative spaces will open their doors to the public. Visitors can meet artists, see work in progress, and participate in The River Thread — a symbolic ribbon activity linking every stop in the district.
At 1pm, the tour culminates in Puente Vivo, a ceremony under the Roosevelt Avenue bridge that reimagines a former divide as a living connector for the community.
